Porn stars not the same as prostitutes?

I am back home today after 3 weeks and my roommate, being the interesting character that he is, decided to strike up a conversation about a porn star by the name kitsuni, He goes on to tell me that this porn star is very smart and she can defend her "profession" really well. OK, she wants to defend what she does that's fine. Somehow my roommate started to say that "Kitsuni" felt porn stars are NOT the same as prostitutes... I dont want to judge, but I AM going to judge, ITS THE SAME DAMN THING!!! I dont care which way u look at it, if you're selling your body in exchange for money in private or making it public in a movie, you are a damn prostitute! This Kitsuni girl apparently was explaining her job is difficult and its not the same as a prostitute because she has to act like she is enjoying it and she has to play a role. Yeah, just because you add role play to your prostitution job doesn't make it NOT prostitution. I'm sorry this woman is out of her mind. she chose that "career" so stop bitching about people judging you. You knew you would be judged and still took that path... deal with it. Its like celebs that fall into drug problems and alcohol problems because they cant take the stress and criticisms from the public, you knew that comes with the job so deal with it. So my question is, do you agree? prostitution is not the same as being a porn star? Morally I think its exactly the same. even not morally. its the same thing to me. ok this is a little bit off topic from the norm of this blog but its my rant for the day. ciao!

Yes its the same thing. The only reason why porn isn't called protitution is because Uncle Sam gets a huge cut of the money being made from all those porn tapes. Just like war and murder is the same thing. But when the goverment can make money off of something it automatically became legal and not frown on. Just plain old BS.
