woman throws acid on her own face?

Here's a stupid woman who I guess needed attention and decided to apply acid on her own face and say a woman on the street threw it on her face. I dont know how people believed her if you can clearly see the acid damage is neatly all over her face placed neatly around her eyes and not splattered. What stupid people do for attention and money.
she got donations from people and had raised 30 thousand dollars and spent 15 hundred dollars on things for herself. So why did she apply acid to her face and say a random woman on the street threw it on her? well here's her story check it out.

My new favorite song in spanish!

This song is called "Te Amare" meaning "I will love you". The artist singing this song is Mr. Huey Dunbar. I love this guy!!! I've been following his career since he put out his first song when he was in a salsa group called Dark Latin Groove... better known as DLG. Following his split from the group back in 2000, he began as a solo artist and has put out some great great great songs!!! This song here is from his latest album which came out March of this year. so if you dont have it yet... GO BUY IT!!! LOL no he's not paying me to say this ha ha ha ha but I wish he was so that I'd have some contact with his fine ass!! sorry did I say that out loud? LOL basically the music video is about Huey who misses his girl because she went off to war and she left so he hits the clubs but he sings saying he will always love her. it's a really cute video so please check it out. Huey, in my opinion is FINE FINE FINE and has the vocals to make him HOT n SPICY!! LOL I love me a man with talent!! too bad he's newly married. LOL well almost a year already. LOL Anyway he's missin out ha ha ha ah ok so here's the vid. It's in spanish so those of you who dont understand spanish, I am sorry but at least enjoy the music LOL K everybody ENJOY!!!!

Well u seem to be white but ur eyes (which are beautiful) are brown, ur hair are same as ur eyes.
Ur facial features are delicate n not like asians.

So after all this I first thought may be u r british or from some European countries.
Now I think u might be of mixed ethnicity like Arabian + white.

It was really hard to guess.

Gorilla potato

My mom has a funny looking potato on her kitchen table. I was sitting at the kitchen table and noticed she had a huge potato next to the fruit bowl. To my mom, this was an ordinary potato... just a little bigger than most potatoes but ordinary none the less. I took a look at it and noticed it kind of looked like the back of a sitting gorilla. then I noticed the bottom of the potato... LMAO!!!! ha ha ha ha take a look at what I saw when I looked at the bottom of the potato ha ha ha ha ha!!! what does it look like? LOL

Ahhh the farmers market!

With summer at an end and fall finally here, the local farmers market still managed to have some wonderful summer fruit but plenty fall vegetables as well... take a look at all the wonderful colors of fall!!

Zie's week

Hi All!!

Sorry for not blogging lately. Been insanely busy with so many things. I had some major work issues which needed my attention. Been going home later from work and i hate it! But work still needs to be done.

How's everyone doing?

Had a great weekend though last week. My actor friend Bayu from Indonesia was here and i spent almost every waking hour with him and his mum. That was great. Wanted to bring her to more places but since it was the Formula 1 race weekend most of the places were closed. So we ended up shopping at Little India and then i brought them to my aunt's place for dinner. Since i needed to be there anyway.

Will blog more later and post pictures. Right now i have to get back to work.
Soho - Glad you finally spoke to him. You should have seen the stress on his face while talking to you. Did you hear me translating for him?? ANd when you said bye sexy he was so embarassed his face turned all red hahaha!!

It's very easy and the exact way I learned to make it in culinary school. enjoy!

Happy Harvest Moon!!!

I wonder how they made this huge moon cake!!!! AWESOME!!!!!

I want to wish everyone that celebrates the Harvest Moon an absolutely wonderful Harvest!!! Time for moon cakes!!!!!! Traditionally on this day ( I am a little late...LOL just a little though LOL sorry), Chinese and other Asian family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomelos under the moon together.
since I was a kid and watched a harvest moon special on a muppet show called "The puzzle place" and there was a chinese muppet girl talking about her heritage and about moon cakes, I've wanted to try moon cakes. They look absolutely delicious! To this day, I have NOT tried a moon cake but according to Saveur magazine there is a place in San Francisco, that makes moon cakes year round. I may have to get me a road trip buddy one of these days to drive up there and try those moon cakes!! Gosh now I want to try them even more!!! LOL anyway Happy Harvest!!!! )
The Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on Wednesday this year, is a traditional Chinese holiday that originates from worship of the moon.

As its name suggests, the day falls in the middle of the fall season and symbolizes harvest and family reunions.

The festival, celebrated in the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar, has no fixed date in the Western calendar, but the day always coincides with a full moon. It is also known as the Moon Festival.

Descriptions of the "Mid-Autumn" first appeared in "Rites of the Zhou", a collection of ritual matters of the Western Zhou Dynasty some 3,000 years ago. It described the eighth lunar month, the second month of autumn, as "mid autumn."

The Chinese began celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in the early Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), a period of material abundance and cultural blossoming.

The Chinese worshipped the moon by offering liquor, fruit and snacks outdoors, expressing thanks for bumper harvest and praying for the god of the moon to bring good luck.

The Temple of the Moon, or Yuetan, in downtown Beijing is where emperors of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties worshipped the moon.

The festival is considered an important Chinese holiday, next only to the Spring Festival, or the Chinese New Year.

The Chinese government listed the festival as intangible cultural heritage in 2006. It was made a public holiday in 2008.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is characterized by:

-- Mooncakes: A legend goes that mooncakes were first made in the 14th Century, when people exchanged pancakes that were stuck with slips of paper reading "Kill the Mongols on the 15th day of the eighth month". It was said to be a secret message from rebel leader Zhu Yuanzhang calling on the Chinese to overthrow the Mongolian rulers of the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368)

-- Lord Rabbit: Known as Tu'er Ye in Chinese, the Lord Rabbit is a traditional icon of the festival. It has a human body, but a rabbit's ears and mouth. This year, Beijing has combined some modern elements into the icon and reinstalled it as the city's "ambassador" of the festival.

-- Matchmaking: The Chinese believe the god of the moon is a highly efficient matchmaker. In some parts of China, masquerades are held on the Mid-Autumn Festival for young men and women to find partners. One by one, young women are encouraged to throw their handkerchiefs to the crowd. The young man who catches and returns the handkerchief has a chance of romance.

-- Lanterns and dragon dances: These are traditional activities during the holiday, but are popular mainly in south China, particularly in Guangdong Province and Hong Kong.

Happy 200th Birthday to MEXICO!!!!!!! cont!

Ok so yesterday was officially the bicentenary of Mexico. I was a little busy yesterday but the parties were everywhere!! I wished I could have been in my Mexico lindo y querido to celebrate it there but unfortunately I was here in L.A. Anyway I want to show you a little clip from the kcet program on mariachi basically it's a mariachi convention where all mariachi players unite in one place to play their songs in the end the entire audience made up of mariachi groups along with the performers play a song of course Mariachi song which is the traditional music of Mexico. It kind of amuses me that the traditional attire of the mariachi is very similar to that of a Spanish bull fighter yet the word mariachi was adapted from the French word for marriage. Whatever it turned out great though. LOL anyway the fist song played is called long live Mexico and the very last song is called "la negra"
"the dark skinned girl" here is a little bit of the celebration music culture of Mexico. The Mariachi (the band playing mariachi music) is normally hired during birthday celebrations for mothers or grandparents anniversaries, weddings baptisms you name it. they can get kind of pricey but you must find the best group. Anyway here is a taste of traditional Mexican music...The Mariachi.
ENJOY!!!!!!

Why Lady Gaga is an IDIOT!!

If there is one celebrity that gets on my last nerve... it's Lady Gaga!! This woman will do just about anything for attention... even wear a meat dress.. yes that's right a meat dress... To the video music awards!! now I dont know if that meat is real or not but it's still ridiculous that she wears such stupid crap and has stupid reasons for wearing them. She said she's the most "non judgmental person on earth" yet she was criticizing the government for not allowing gays into the military. That was her reason for wearing this stupid dress. Seriously this woman is a retard. she contradicts herself so much I wanna slap her. I have nothing against gays... to be honest I dont care what anybodys sexual preference is cuz that's not my business... it's ur business and whatever you like fine.. I dont care... I can care less if ur gay or not. My issue is with Gaga trying to represent a gay/lesbian community when she has no damn clue what she's doing or what she is saying. She talks about politics like she knows what's going on!!! grrrr She is someone that seeks media attention and practically says LOOK LOOK LOOK!! LOOK AT ME! I AM DIFFERENT AND CRAZY!!! are you kidding me gaga? I am so mad at the media for shoving this talentless girl down our throats. now, I must say maybe one or two performances were good of hers but she's and idiot she has zero talent other than to come up with stupid crap to wear. seriously Gaga... find another day job. sit in ur garage and paint all day. That would be more respectable. ugh!!! p.s. idk if that was actually real meat or not... maybe it wasnt but if it wasnt, it looks hella real. I've worked around meat for a while now and they did a great job making it look real... that's if it's fake. Anyway check out this article and her interview explaining why she wore such a stupid dress. You might say i am being very judgemental and in this case... hell yes i am being judgmental this girl is an idiot. no wonder ppl look at americans as airheads!!! She has absolutely nothing smart to say. She's an embarrassment to America."I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse."

That was Lady Gaga's unusual opening statement when she stepped onstage at MTV's Video Music Awards Sunday to receive her Video of the Year award from pop legend Cher.

After arriving at the ceremony in a dress from the late designer Alexander McQueen's final collection and then changing into a weighty, architectural gown and spiky crown by Giorgio Armani, Gaga turned heads (and we'd have to imagine noses) in her final outfit, a Franc Fernandez dress (plus boots, hat, and purse) cut together from what appeared to be slabs of raw meat. The outfit echoed the controversial meat bikini she recently wore for the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan.

[VMA Photos: Lady Gaga, Snooki make red carpet splash]

After the show, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Gaga tried to explain that the dress was a political statement. Discussing how she'd been escorted to the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles by members of the U.S. military who had been discharged from the service due to the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, Lady Gaga said: "It is a devastation to me that I know my fans who are gay ... feel like they have governmental oppression on them. That's actually why I wore the meat tonight."DeGeneres, a famous vegan who often speaks out on behalf of animal rights, pounced on the topic while keeping her distance from the dress. "It's certainly no disrespect to anyone that's vegan or vegetarian," Gaga responded. "As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth. It has many interpretations, but for me this evening, it's 'If we don't stand up for what we believe in, we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones.'"

Gesturing to the Japanese Vogue cover, she snarled and added, "And I am not a piece of meat."

[Photos: More moments with Lady Gaga]

DeGeneres didn't seem to buy that fairly speciously reasoned explanation, and instead offered Lady Gaga an outfit that didn't need to be butchered: a vegetable bikini and skirt made of corn husks. "It's fabulous! Oh it's kale!" Gaga said. "Well, it's the best of both worlds, you and me, Ellen."

The meat dress's designer, Franc Fernandez, has yet to issue any statements about his unusual gown -- or confirm whether it was truly made of actual meat -- but he retweeted Cher's compliment: "The way it was cut & fitted to her body was AMAZING ! Meat purse was genius ! As Art piece it was astonishing! No moral Judgement!" Fernandez, who has also dressed Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera, made the diamond headpiece Gaga wore in the video for "Bad Romance," which picked up seven of the singer's eight VMA wins last night.

PETA, unsurprisingly, was less of a fan. The animal-rights advocacy organization quickly issued a statement condemning Gaga for her offbeat sartorial choice. "Meat is the decomposing flesh of a tormented animal who didn't want to die, and after a few hours under the TV lights, it would smell like the rotting flesh it is and likely be crawling in maggots -- not too attractive, really."

Gaga is just lucky no dogs -- or Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, for that matter -- were in the house that night

25 things Chefs never tell you

Do restaurants recycle the bread basket? Are most of us bad tippers? Food Network Magazine surveyed chefs across the country — anonymously — to find out everything we’ve always wanted to know. For starter, i'll tell you that at the restaurant I last worked at, we never recycled bread.. NEVER... that's plain gross LOL or picked up food from the floor and cooked it. that's also disgusting LOL idk who'd do that but I do tell you most of the thing's you'll read are absolutely true including the pay and injuries and going to work sick and just sticking it out for the team...Chefs and cooks everywhere do have my respect it's a tough low paying job but someone's gotta do it. LOL check it out!!

Chefs are pickier than you think.
Liver, sea urchin, tofu, eggplant, and oysters, of all things, topped the list of foods chefs hate most. Only 15% of chefs surveyed said they’d eat absolutely anything.

Still, chefs hate picky eaters.
More than 60% said requests for substitutions are annoying. Some of their biggest pet peeves: When customers pretend to be allergic to an ingredient, and when vegetarians make up rules, like “a little chicken stock is OK.”

When eating out in other restaurants, chefs say they avoid pasta and chicken.
Why? These dishes are often the most overpriced (and least interesting) on the menu. Said one chef, “I won’t pay $24 for half a chicken breast.” Said another, “I want something I can’t make myself.”

Chefs have expensive taste.
The restaurant chefs most often cited as the best in the country was The French Laundry in California’s Napa Valley. It ought to be — dinner there is $240 per person, before wine.

...and yet they like fast food.
Their favorite chain: Wendy’s. Culinary degrees aren’t necessarily the norm. Just half the chefs surveyed graduated from a cooking school. The rest got their training the old-fashioned way, by working their way up through the kitchen ranks.

Critics trump movie stars in the VIP pecking order.
A whopping 71% of chefs said they give special treatment to restaurant critics when they spot them; only 63% do the same for celebrities. Making out in the bathroom is old news. More than half of the chefs have found customers kissing — and much more — in the restaurant loo.

Roaches are more common than you think.
Yes, 75% of chefs said they’ve seen roaches in the kitchen. And yet, chefs swear their kitchens are clean. On a scale of 1 to 10, 85% of chefs ranked their kitchens an 8 or higher for cleanliness.

Only 13% of chefs have seen a cook do unsavory things to a customer’s food.
The most unbelievable tale: “Someone once ran a steak through a dishwasher after the diner sent it back twice. Ironically, the customer was happy with it then.”

Your bread basket might be recycled.
Three chefs admitted that uneaten bread from one basket goes right into another one.

Chefs work hard for low pay.
The chefs we surveyed work between 60 and 80 hours a week and almost all of them work holidays. Sixty-five percent reported making less than $75,000 a year. Waiters take home an average of $662 a week, often tax free.

“Vegetarian” is open to interpretation.
About 15% of chefs said their vegetarian dishes might not be completely vegetarian. Beware if you’re one of those super-picky vegan types: One chef reported seeing a cook pour lamb’s blood into a vegan’s primavera.

Paying for a last-minute reservation probably won’t work.
Only one chef said bribes will help you score a table when the restaurant is fully booked; he suggested “promising to buy a bottle of Dom Pérignon or Opus One.” A better bet: Being buddies with the chef.

Menu “specials” are often experimental dishes.
Contrary to popular belief — that specials are just a chef’s way of using up old ingredients — most chefs said they use specials to try out new ideas or serve seasonal ingredients. Only five chefs admitted that they try to empty out the fridge with their nightly specials.

The appropriate tip is 20%...
That’s what chefs leave when they eat out, and it’s the amount they think is fair.

...unless the service is really poor.
An astounding 90% of chefs said it’s fair to penalize bad waiters with a smaller tip.

That rule about not ordering fish on Sunday might be worth following.
Several chefs warned, “We don’t get fresh deliveries on Sunday.”

Chefs hate working on New Year’s Eve more than any other holiday.
Valentine’s Day was a close second, but don’t take that to mean chefs aren’t romantic: 54% of those surveyed said they like it when couples get engaged in their restaurant.

They secretly want to be Alton or Giada.
Nearly 60% of chefs said they’d want their own cooking show.

Chefs cook when they’re sick.
It’s a long-standing tradition in the restaurant industry: Cooks report to duty unless they’re practically hospitalized. Half of those we surveyed said they come to work sick, and they stay there through injuries, too. Many chefs have cut themselves on the job, gone to get stitches, and returned to work to finish out the night. Accidents definitely happen: Almost every chef we surveyed has been injured on the job in some way, and several chefs said they’re missing parts of their fingers.

The five-second rule actually applies.
A quarter of the chefs surveyed said they’d pick up food that dropped on the floor and cook it.

Your waiter is trying to influence your order.
Almost every chef surveyed (95%) said he or she urges servers to steer customers toward specific dishes on the menu each night.

Restaurants mark up wine by a lot more than you might expect.
Most chefs said that a bottle on their wine list costs 2½ times what the same one would cost in a wine store.

There’s a reason so many restaurants serve molten chocolate cake.
More than 75% of chefs said they take inspiration from other restaurant menus.
