Ok so my boss is absolutely AMAZING. he's a master of his craft. very talented. he's been in many magazines, a few tv morning shows and loved by EVERYONE. Really this man has my complete respect. I've never respected a chef as much as I respect my boss... really he amazes me at all the stuff he knows... he's like a freakin BOOK! My respect for sure!!!

Michael Jackson says "titties" talking about a fan
Ok so when I'm in a bad mood or sad or just thinking nothing... one thing that gets me in a great mood is thinking about Michael Jackson being silly. In this video, he's in a black limo with some cousins of his and some crew of his and he watches fans run after the limo where he's in. the fans run after the SUV in an attempt to get an eye full of their favorite star... Michael Jackson. while riding in the car, Michael watches the fans running and banging on the window of the limo. He says "there's some good fish out there" his way of saying there are some good looking ladies out there. then he notices one particular young lady that is a little top heavy... meaning she has bigger breast than most other women (not seen in the video) and as this woman runs towards the limo, Michael notices her breasts are bouncing up and down. He then laughs and says that one right there!! look at her!! look at the titties!! the titties bouncing up and down!!" ha ha ha ha ha ha and he makes the hand motions of titties bouncing up and down ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haI find this side of Michael Jackson HILARIOUS and pretty sexy that he's just making such man-like comments. ha ha ha ha soooooooooo hilarous!! Dinner
My roommate R¡MK and I had dinner at Cafe Concerto. We started with drinks. I had a vanilla latte and he had a beer. Both were very good. We started with truffle french fries. Basically fries tossed in truffle oil and parm cheese. Disappointing. Couldn't taste the truffle oil at all and only had a very small hint of the parmesan cheese. Next I had a lotus salad i didnt know it was basically a salad of chopped tomatoes and zucchini and a few other veggies tossed in a yummy dressing with lotus as the GARISH... i love lotus root and was sad to eat it only as a garnish and the menu said it was a lotus salad. then some cream of mushroom soup. the soup was good. my roommate had muscles... yes the seafood muscles. they were sooooooo tiny and it was a pasta not a bowl of muscles. The muscles were sooo tiny and not much flavor either. next we had some coffee and macaroons. the macaroons were not the best but the coffee was awesome. overall not a very good place for food. it is good for coffee and the decor and ambiance but not for food. they give you blankets when u sit on the patio.

Comfort soup
I made myself some chicken noodle soup. I caught a cold a few days ago before i left for Houston and on my way home i developed a terrible fever mid flight back home to los ángeles. Im still sick so i made me some soup. It was great!!

Curious waiter/ curious customers
At work I always get a lot of my customers asking me where I am from. they tell me I look very mixed... I hear this from many people everyday. its soooooo common for me to hear people tell me I look of mixed race that I'm kind of tired of answering them. LOL! yesterday I took my break from one of my jobs and went to eat at El Torito Grill I only took a couple of bites before I had to go back to work so I asked my waiter to bring me a takeout box so i can take my food with me and eat it later... he came back with a box, a bag, and a question... yes you guessed it! the question was "where are you from?" well again i gave the same answer and again I see a pleasantly surprised face... LOL interesting.
horrible day
Ok so a couple of days ago, I was finishing work and my manager gave me some tomato soup in a "to go" container so I could take with me after work. That was super nice of him so i took the soup and put it in my backpack, hopped on my bike and rode to my car...
In case you havent been to Beverly Hills, I'll tell you know that there is only 2 hour parking in Beverly Hills unless you have a permit and if you have a permit that means you live there. public parking in beverly hills is VERY difficult to find. especially all day parking for the people who work there... actually there is no free all day parking.. you have to pay a whole lot of money to park all day unless you buy a pass. lets put it this way.. in beverly hills, there is no such thing as free public parking on public streets like the rest of los angeles...
In order for me to still work in beverly hills and not have to pay, I drive half way there with my bike in my car and i park at a nearby city where I can park all day for free and I take my bike and ride the rest of the way to work so i dont pay to park.
Anyway I was running late one day so I parked in a 2 hour parking zone in beverly hills this time that is actually free all day on sundays...normally I park in culver city. it was a sunday and i was soooo exhausted after work but i hopped on my bike with my tomato soup in my backpack and made my way to my car in culver city. when I get to culver city, i see that my car isnt there!! then i remember its sunday and I parked in beverly hills!!! so I turn around and start peddling back to beverly hills... as I peddled away, my front tire of my bike got stuck in a crack on the concrete and I fell smashing the container I had in my backpack full of tomato soup.
I quickly get up and look inside my backpack... TOMATO SOUP EVERYWHERE ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF MY BACKPACK AND MY WORK SHOES AND UNIFORM!! I pull the container out with the tomato soup, take one last sip and throw the rest away. As I try to empty my backpack of the soup, it splatters all over me and now I'm covered in soup. I get up and pack my stuff back into my dirty backpack and make my way to my car in beverly hills... when I arrive i put my bike in my car and drive away to my friends apartment in west hollywood. He gave me his key so i could make myself at home while he's at work for the evening. as I near west hollywood, I suddenly run out of gas... I manage to pull into a residential street and park before i run out. sure enough i run out of gas the moment i park. West hollywood is much like beverly hills.. you have to live there to park in a residential street. I had no choice. i had to park permit or not. I grab my emergency gallon out of the back of my car and hopped on my bike to the nearest gas station. which was about a mile away. I pour make it to the gas station and fill up my plastic gallon with gas. it doesnt have the top so i seal it with a plastic bag and a rubber band. at this point i stink of tomato soup and dirt. I'm dirty. when i get back to my car after biking a mile, I see I got a ticket for paring without a permit!!!!!! I discard the ticket cuz i know i wont pay it so I lean my bike onto my car while i gas up my car. I improvised and rolled up a notebook i had in my car and used that to put the gas in my car's gas tank. I spilled lots of it on myself because i didnt have the proper tools to fuel but i got it done so I get back in my car and drive to my friends apartment... as i park in the structure I sigh and think wow now Im safely here. I'll just shower and relax for a bit. when I go to the back of my car to get my bike out, its not there!!!!!! I left it next to my truck while i fueled!!!! i drove off and left my bike on the street!!!! I hope back in my car a drive as fast as possible back to where i had first parked when i fueled my car... I tried to turn into that street but it was a one way street so I parked at a nearby restaurant and ran in the dark to where I fueled... I thought surely my bike wont be there anymore... then suddenly there it was... someone picked it off the street and carefully leaned it against a building in case the owner showed up he or she would see it. I was soooooooo grateful!! I picked up my bike rode it to my car put it in and drove back to the apartment. I finally made it safely into the apartment and i stripped myself of all my clothes and took all my clothes from my backback and my backpack and stuffed it all inside the washing machine. As my clothes, uniform, and backpack was being washed, I took a nice warm shower. then I relaxed and watched tv with the dog and waited for my friend to come home... it was a terrible day!!! glad that's over!

Lovely night!
Ok so i like to enjoy my days off from work so I will usually invite a friend out to dinner or if i work dinner shift and leave work past midnight, most likely i've not eaten so my co worker/friend and I will go out to eat every night. yes dinner past midnight... I had one of my days off so i decided to buy this really good blueberry bread that you can slice up heat and spread butter over or just have as is. I bought some Mount Tam cheese which was creamier than brie. Had some raspberries on hand, olives, red and white wine, prosciutto, and lots of pastries that my friend and I brought home from work. I initially had all this food to enjoy casually on my day off but i needed a friend so one day after work I invited my friend from work over and we ate for like 3 hours non stop. ha ha ha it was amazing!!! then we had french macarons, chocolate covered almonds, lemon bar, chocolate cake, lemon cake, an assortment of cookies. all in one night! it was AWESOME!!

On one of they rainy cold L.A. weather days I stopped by a french restaurant in Culver City to have me some french onion soup because of the rainy cold weather... i LOVED it! so warm, cheesy and delicious!

my fritata
I made myself a delicious fritata this morning for breakfast... carrots, broccoli, zucchini, red onion, garlic and jalapeno... YUM! all shreded veggies seasoned with cumin, salt, pepper and smoked paprika. YUM
MMMM Brazilian food!
Had me some GREAT brazilian food yesterday after work (chicken croquet, bean stew, salad, pineapple, garlic chicken, fried plantains, very filling... from pampas grill in culver city... YUM that place is very good! for dessert... some mascarpone cheesecake from a little cafe across the sidewalk. lol! YUM sooo stuffed!

hello
Hi All,
Greetings from Sunny Singapore. Well today is sunny anyway. Weather's been kinda weird lately. One minute it's hot the next it's raining.
Sorry for not blogging. Been rather busy at work as usual. Weekends i try to catch up on sleep.
Anyway wanted to share with everyone another reason why i have been busy lately :) I have been going to see several shows by Singapore's very 1st Idol.. Taufik Batisah. He is so nice. My friends and I met him a few times and one time he actually said my name! Imagine how shocked i was. He knew my twitter name and even there he actually said a thank you to me. How sweet rite? I've supported him since 2004 when he was in Idol and won. Now 8 years on he is still top in my list. Here is a picture of Taufik and I. This was after a concert where he was the guest artist. I didnt have time to get my hair done or change as i came straight from work and my sis only told me she managed to get the tickets at the last minute. But i was happy to have met him.

spoiled rotten
usually at all my jobs especially at "Mozza"employees have to fight for lockers to put their stuff in while working ok not fight but get lucky to actually find an empty locker to put ur stuff in but at bibigo.. we are spoiled rotten. we get our own locker with our name on it. NOBODY TOUCHES MY LOCKER!!! soooo awesome!!! lol!
grand opening cake
Bibigo had its grand opening 2 days ago and the cake was cute and delicious!!! had cake and laughs with the CEO of the company... he seems to really like me... doesnt seem to remember anybody else's name but mine. That's me making a statement! yes I am here! lol! great company. cj company. i love working for them.
overfed
I love that my bosses overfeed their staff. only 3 ppl to feed and they bring out more than enough food. everything sooooo good!! i love my job at bibigo. ha ha ha its so much fun and my managers LOVE me! we have lots of fun. always laughing but working hard as well. makes life fun.
coconut cake
i'm not sure if i've mentioned it on the blog before but if you didnt know, I absolutely LOVE coconut!! anything with coconut, i love coconut scented lotion, body spray, and everything. I went to coffee bean and couldnt resist this delicious coconut lemon mini cake. it was adorable and the to go box was super cute!! the cake was moist, very delicious!! i cant resist sweets! but im glad i tried it. YUM!!
