Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hi everybody!!! I am a little late but HAPPY THANKSGIVING to those who celebrate it. I dont really celebrate it unless i am invited to somebody's celebration but normally i dont care too much for thanksgiving. I worked this thanksgiving and took a picture of a really nice lobster bisque made by chef Alex Valderrama at Le Saint Amour in culver city. i thought the plating was super cute!! basically lobster in the bowl and in a tea pot was the bisque... or soup... when ur ready to eat, just pour the soup around the lobster and dig in... SUPER CUTE!!!!! Also there was a thanksgiving dish with all the traditional thanksgiving yummies turkey with mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, and more stuff... lol YUM! served in a cast iron skillet. cute!!

Food of Le Saint Amour!
Organic salmon with lentils and braised root vegetables
Here are a few pictures of some of the food we have at Le Saint Amour in Culver City, Ca. If u will be visiting Los Angeles, dont forget to stop by for dinner and say hi to me at Le Saint Amour. 9725 Culver blvd, Culver City, Ca
Our chef Alex Valderrama of Anisette and Waterloo, will blow your mind with his food! i've even started to eat some meat and fish because of him!! he cooks everything sooooo well! come on over and say hi, have some dinner and wine outside on the patio and let us show you a good evening and good food!
The pot-au-feu, "pot on the fire") is a French beef stew. According to chef Raymond Blanc, the pot-au feu is "the quintessence of French family cuisine, it is the most celebrated dish in France. It honours the tables of the rich and poor alike. (At Saint Amour, we serve the beef broth for this pot au feu in a little tea pot that you can pour into your bowl yourself!! its cute!)
Salad Frisée with a fried egg on top. YUM!!
Duck breast stuffed with chicken liver mousse served with a beef jus and forest mushrooms!! MMMMMMM!!
bittersweet chocolate crunch bar with a rich, creamy, light mousse on top, served with tangerine slices, warm caramel sauce, whipped cream topped with toasted hazelnuts. YUM!! this is amazingly wonderful!!!

Mozza reunion!!
Last night i went out for dinner with my very good friend Ashley that used to work with me at Mozza. I had not seen this girl in months and it was time for a dinner date. when we arrived, we found that a bunch of our Mozza friends now work at this new restaurant by Michael Voltaggio called Ink. Our waiter friends from Mozza were now our waiters at Ink!! it was sooo nice to see them again... we then scanned the room and found our hostess friend from Mozza and another waiter from Mozza having dinner together. It was soooooooo awesome we had a mini ex Mozza employee reunion. Most of all I loved chatting and catching up with Ashely. she's really my friend who has gone through hell and back with me while we were both at Mozza. good times!

more baked grape!! YUM!!
when a menu isnt enough
sometimes at work, we get older people that have bad eyesight so their glasses are not enough to see the specials on the menu so we do have a giant chalkboard outside where we write the specials to promote them or we also right some popular entrees that we offer. A few nights ago, an older lady wanted to see what was written on the chalkboard but still couldnt make out what was on it so my wonderful co worker took the giant board and brought it over to her table. I found it funny to see my skinny co worker holding this giant bored up lol.
5 hour energy drink
Two lovely young ladies that work for the 5 hour energy drink company were going around town promoting their product by giving out samples of it. The bottles are actually the full size so they came in to Le Saint Amour and gave our staff these bottles and then took a picture of me and my co worker Karim holding the bottle. lol it was fun. HOWEVER, it was my first time trying this energy drink and i didnt like it at all. It didnt work for me either. LOL but Karim LOVES this drink. it works for him really well.
hilarious reservation note
At work, I am in charge of taking reservations and when people make reservations online, they can add a note like "celebrating a birthday" or "anniversary" or "allergic to nuts" and plenty other things so that the restaurant staff is aware of the special needs or occasions. I received a really interesting note from a couple that made their reservation and special note online. It's completely understandable that they needed this. ha ha ha ha ha!! check it out!!
They were very good customers and very sweet! I absolutely loved having them over at the restaurant for dinner. Very pleasant couple.
