In other news... JT supports Obama

Justin Timberlake (our man of the week back on July 13) attended a rally for Barack Obama on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the amphitheater at the Clark County Government Center. Justin stopped by the rally, with girlfriend Jessica Biel, because he wanted to encourage voters, especially those in the age bracket of his fanbase who would not normally vote or even register to vote, to support Mr. Obama.

Justin isn't some know-it-all celeb who's jumped on the political bandwagon! According to ReviewJournal.com, Justin says he's "just a guy who feels strongly about the upcoming election, as do so many others". "I'm not here as some dude who writes goofy songs. Me and Jess, we're here as Americans. We're here as humans because this is something we had to do. We've never publicly endorsed before. But we've never been so inspired by one person." A 21-year-old college student in attendance at the rally told the Review-Journal she was impressed Timberlake took time out to attend the rally and that she respects him for it because he obviously cares about this.

One thing this election year has taught me is that there cause for some serious change. I posted about a week or so ago that if you want to make a difference, get out & vote. The change has to begin with us. You know what's at stake right now & to sit back & watch while our nation is in turmoil is not a good choice. Get educated on who the candidates are, what they stand for and what they propose to do for our country. Remind yourself of what you feel is wrong right now & then think about what you would like to see changed in the next four years. Once you've made informed decision on who you plan to vote for... then VOTE! It doesn't matter who you vote for (well it does matter but do what's right for you) - be like Nike & "just do it"! You can actually begin by registering to vote! Do it now!
