SoLo's comments are italicized! Episode 406 "Blow Out" promo & sneak peek coming up!

Last time on Prison Break, the gang went out to grab information from yet another computer card from the company, and in the meantime, T-Bag showed up in LA to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. The brothers and Mahone dressed up as policemen, and got the second card. In the last second of the episode, Wyatt is shown following Sara.

This episode started off right after last week left off. Wyatt was still following Sara, but after a quick check of her purse, she noticed Bruce’s card was missing. With a quick turn around, she noticed her pursuer. So Sara began running, didn’t look both ways before crossing the street, so she almost got hit by five different cars. All is good though, because she got away. [Darn again! I really wanted her to get caught but it's too early in the season for that!]

Back at headquarters, Don takes a quick look at the photographs of the card holders, and notices a familiar face. The head of the U.S. Treasury building, Griffin. So their plan is to get to him, and get the card. Bellick and Sucre decide that their next step is to find T-Bag, because he has the book they need.

Next we see Mahone meeting his ex-wife, Pam, at a diner. No, they aren’t getting together to eat pancakes; Mahone was there to have his ex identify Wyatt. She points him out, and Mahone starts busting out crying, but its okay, Pam still loved him enough to give him a pat on the back, telling him everything will be just fine. [This was actually a sad moment to see Pam gag with sickness when she saw Wyatt's pic. I felt so bad for her & I'm actually starting to like Mahone a lot! I'm hoping he twists Wyatt's head off. The again, I hope Gretchen twists his head off, too! I'm beginning to like her as well... for now! BTW, Pam gave Mahone more that just a pat on the back... she gave him an "iron" gift in a brown paper bag! I'm sure it'll come in handy!]

Still kicking back at Gate Co., T-Bag found some more clues to his mysterious bird book. Apparently if you spill a little hot tea on the book, something hidden appears on the pages. [Actually, that can happen! I saw it on a Dateline show not long ago. Apparently when the caffeine mixes with the invisible in on the paper, it creates a chemical reaction that causes the ink to become visible... VOILA! You can read the message! It can also happen when a letter written with urine is heated!]

So Don made it to the Treasury building, and met up with Griffin, who was not very happy to see him. Self made a false threat to buy time, but back at the warehouse, they weren’t getting any signal. But when Griffin opened his “crazy” safe, as Don put it, they realized that the safe held the computer card they needed. So the gang told him to get some blue prints, so they can figure out a plan. [This scene was actually funny as heck to me because the very thing that Michael told Self to say to be able to get into Griffin's office is EXACTLY what he told the man when he got in there LOL! Hilarious that he didn't even take time to think of something else! Check this out...

Self: I know this guy.
Michael: Well, if he's in your building you can get close to him.
S: I would need a reason.
M:Well, you make something up. Something about Al-Qaeda using stolen bearer bonds to finance shady operations. Whatever.
S: Come on, making false claims in matters affecting government security? That's up to five years in prison.
M: Welcome to the club, Agent Self.

Then later in the episode when Self goes to see Griffin Oren:

Self: Don Self, Homeland Security. I need to see Mr. Oren right away... Ma'am (talking to Oren's secretary) I need to see him right away otherwise hundreds of American lives will be in jeopardy... I'm sorry to barge in here, but this is urgent... We are hearing chatter about some stolen bearer bonds and we have reason to believe that Al-Qaeda...
Griffin: Do you have serial numbers?... Talk to Angela down the hall.

LOL!!! Either Michael's idea was so brilliant that he couldn't think of anything better or he's a moron!]

Finally, Sara made it back to headquarters, and told the gang about the big scary guy that was following her. Mahone shoved a picture of Wyatt in her face, to which she confirmed it was in fact the same man who killed his son. [Again, I have to say, that while she is useful 10% of the time, Sara is more of a hinderance! Had she not nearly had a relapse & gone to find a bar to get wasted, Bruce's credit card wouldn't have gotten stolen which means Wyatt would not have tracked her down & had a chance to chase her. She claims to have made sure she wasn't followed BUT how do we know that... better yet, how does she know that for sure? Wyatt is smart & he could be waiting for the right moment! I guess we'll have to see.]

Speaking about Wyatt, he made a little visit to see Gretchen, who was in terrible shape. He wanted to know why the team was in Los Angeles, as if she’d know. [You know what's amazing to me? The fact that they're wasting time torturing Gretchen. They know the girl can endure physical & psychological torture, yet they feed her a frickin' tablespoon of honey & water while sitting her in a tiny box of a room, handcuffed & punishing her. If he gave Bruce the "truth serum", why not give it to Gretchen? She can't withstand that! UNLESS they know something I don't know! Anyway, I'll be glad when she gets out of this so she can kick Wyatt's...]

At Gate Corporation, Bellick and Sucre miraculously found the right building where T-Bag was at, but the secretary didn’t give him up. Soon after, Sucre and Bellick left when Michael phoned them, telling them that a plan has been set into motion, and he needed them. The secretary walked into T-Bag’s office, and they made a deal. She would get 3% of his commission from now on. Later on in the episode, a man came to visit T-Bag asking for Scylla, and if he doesn’t hand it over in three days, he is a gonner. [Miraculously? Not so sure about that! I'm sure they checked every building & company in the area... but we needn't see that part! Anyway, little missy at Gate does NOT know who she's dealing with! I think she got a cold shiver when T-Bag told her the story about the greedy leprechaun captor LOL! Although after the big guy came looking for T, I think she started to rethink giving him up!]

And indeed the plan was on. Don got the boys into the building, and set them on their way, but it was up to them from that point forward. Sucre set up the elevator so it went straight to the floor they needed, with no interuption. Next to Griffin’s room was another man’s office. Don took that man out to lunch so the boys could get to work. Michael and Lincoln jumped into an air duct and Lincoln noticed his brother’s nosebleeds for the first time, and asked how long it’s been happening. Michael shrugs it off, but Lincoln said something about nosebleeds being a big deal when he was 13 years old… [When Michael said it wasn't a big deal, in regards to his nose bleeding, what Lincoln actually said was that it wasn't a big deal when he was 13. This was interesting because it could mean that Mikey got nosebleeds as a kid. It could also mean that it might need to be looked into because most adults don't get nosebleeds for apparently no reason. While I'm sure it's not the latter, this is something else we'll have to wait to see.]

Sucre and Bellick acted as janitors cleaning up a mess on the floor to distract the secretary from seeing what was happening on the inside. Mike and Linc were making a huge hole in the wall to get to the computer card on the other side. All goes well until the Head of the Company waltzed into Griffin’s room to have a chat with him. It seemed he wanted Griffin’s card, so Michael quickly got the card out, and Roland immediatley started the download. [Sucre & Bellick on the outside was hilarious b/c you could see Bellick with this smirk on his face! He reminded me of Curly from "The Three Stooges" LOL! The part when the secretary got extremely frustrated (frustrated b/c the machine they were using was loud enough to cover up the drilling noise the brothers were making inside the office) & wanted to get into the office to get mail off her boss's desk was a close one, but "Sugar" came up with a quick excuse to not let her in! BTW - major "hiccup" when the old, bald one walks in! I'm like - OMG! WHAT NOW??]

Though I have to say, the download speed for this card was incredibly slow, perhaps dial-up?
But Mike got the information of the card JUST in time, and they all left. [Quick question, when Michael got the card, why didn't they all just bolt with the card?] We have a new name for the Head of the Company, it appears he is called “The General.” Sara told Michael that she overheard Gretchen say his name once when she was held captive. [This card did download very slowly! I was so antsy watching this entire segment, which was great because it added to the suspense of things! This episode is my favorite this season, so far, BUT I didn't fancy the whole delay to ask "the General" a question so Michael wouldn't get caught with the card(good question: Why didn't they just take the card? I'm guessing that is because then the Company would have proof that something is up. Right now, they can only assume that there could be an issue. I'd say a missing card is a major red flag!) I think the writers could have written something else in there to delay him... maybe Oren's cell phone ringing before he made the thumbprint recognition or him asking the question BEFORE he done everything! It just looked stupid that he put in the code, verified his print, put his hand on the door to open it, THEN just stop cold to ask that dumb question... anyway, I really thought Gretchen called him "the General" in season 3? I could be wrong, but I could have sworn while talking to him, she called him that or perhaps, while talking to someone else, she referred to him as that.]

SPEAKING of Gretchen, she pulled a Michael Scofield and escaped from her own prison. At the very end of the episode, The General was told that an agent named Don Self has been looking into him. So now The General knows about Don Self… I wonder what terrible things are going to happen to Don… I guess we’ll find out next week! [YAY!!! Gretchen got loose! I was so glad! I'm sure that'll be the only time I'll be rooting for her, but I was glad she got away! Don Self is in a whole heck of a lot of trouble. He's been "green lit"!]

One thing this recap didn't touch on was that Mahone went to pay Wyatt a little visit. Mahone, Sara & Roland started researching where Wyatt could be staying, etc. Using his FBI skills, which I absolutely love now - hated his expertise in season 2 LOL! - Mahone was able to narrow down the area where Wyatt would be staying, which of course we know would have to be a motel - somewhere he could pay cash - & because he has to be mobile, he figured out where he could possibly be renting a car from. He finally finds Wyatt's motel, shows the manager Wyatt's photo & asks if he's seen him. The manager lies & says that Wyatt had just checked out so Mahone asks to see the room where he was staying. While Mahone goes to see the room, the manager calls Wyatt, who had previously paid him $300 to let him know if anyone started looking for him. Mahone's sixth sense kicks in & he goes back to catch the manager on the phone with Wyatt, just as he answers. Mahone pulls a gun on the man so he lies to Wyatt, saying he only called to let him know that his shift was over & no one had come by. Mahone takes the sticky note with Wyatt's phone number & leaves. Again, you gotta' love Mahone this season, although I'm afraid his passion for finding Wyatt is blinding him - but you can't blame the guy. It just may prove to be attention the gang does not need.
