My two year contract with at&t is almost up and I want a new phone... I want this one!!!! unfortunately it's only a concept phone right now :( not in stores anywhere but check it out. look how awesome this iphone looks!!!

I made more baked grapes and I am eating them with plain greek yogurt! YUM! i can live off of this stuff!

when a menu isnt enough

sometimes at work, we get older people that have bad eyesight so their glasses are not enough to see the specials on the menu so we do have a giant chalkboard outside where we write the specials to promote them or we also right some popular entrees that we offer. A few nights ago, an older lady wanted to see what was written on the chalkboard but still couldnt make out what was on it so my wonderful co worker took the giant board and brought it over to her table. I found it funny to see my skinny co worker holding this giant bored up lol.

5 hour energy drink

Two lovely young ladies that work for the 5 hour energy drink company were going around town promoting their product by giving out samples of it. The bottles are actually the full size so they came in to Le Saint Amour and gave our staff these bottles and then took a picture of me and my co worker Karim holding the bottle. lol it was fun. HOWEVER, it was my first time trying this energy drink and i didnt like it at all. It didnt work for me either. LOL but Karim LOVES this drink. it works for him really well.

hilarious reservation note

At work, I am in charge of taking reservations and when people make reservations online, they can add a note like "celebrating a birthday" or "anniversary" or "allergic to nuts" and plenty other things so that the restaurant staff is aware of the special needs or occasions. I received a really interesting note from a couple that made their reservation and special note online. It's completely understandable that they needed this. ha ha ha ha ha!! check it out!!


They were very good customers and very sweet! I absolutely loved having them over at the restaurant for dinner. Very pleasant couple.

essential chocolate

I went to this little pastry shop that i've been wanting to go to since... well... forever and was very disappointed. the pastries were not worth the price nor were they even good...

My view of LAX

This is my view of LAX every time i go grocery shopping. I decided to take a picture and show you LAX during fall. Makes me wonder how on earth do these pilots manage to land those enormous planes so flawlessly!!! AMAZING!! I applaud the pilots, co pilots, flight engineers and control tower crew.

the vegetarian tries the sausage

Apparently I get to try the house made sausages at work before they make it to the menu... but why do they make the vegetarian try the sausages?? LOL I gave it a go anyway and it was great!

Dolphin in the sink

There was a toy dolphin left behind at the restaurant and our warm hearted staff decided to give it a home in a ramekin inside the hand washing sink lol!! of course we didnt leave it there. now the dolphin is on the hostess desk looking cute!

Interesting salt and pepper shakers

The stationary store next door to Le Saint Amour, had some very interesting salt and pepper shakers LOL

I know I am a little late for this one but that doesnt mean I didnt celebrate it.... well I kind of didnt because i had to work but i kind of did because we had a special menu specifically in honor of Oktoberfest! sausage and beer!!!! life is good eh??? LOL

baked grapes!!

I tossed some grapes in extra virgin olive oil and a bit of salt. baked at 425 degrees for 15 minutes and got these super sweet soft bundles of YUMMY!!! I eat them with greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream! YUM! the picture above is my sheet tray of grapes before being baked

I love brussel sprouts

My mom and I went to trader joes for only extra virgin olive oil and for butter. As we walked in we notice these absolutely beautiful brussel sprouts and we couldnt resist!! they were beautiful! so fresh too!!

time out

I was waiting to get my brakes fixed on my car yesterday morning... cold morning too! and while i waited i went to a bakery and enjoyed a good cup of coffee and a nice little pastry. It was like a time out from the daily hustle and bustle of life in the city. I simply stopped everything and realized I havent had time out for myself in a LONG time!! felt good to just sit for a while and enjoy some coffee and pastry. Life was great for the few minutes i sat there.

cold weather

It's been pretty cold out here in L.A. Cold weather makes me want warm soup so I made French onion soup! I enjoyed every last bit of this rich onion soup with all that delicious melted crispy cheese on top on this cold october day!! AHHH! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!

I found my costume!!!!

I know what I will be for halloween!! WEDNESDAY from the Adams Family!!!!! YAY!! how about you? any of you dressing up for halloween? I will be going to work in my costume!

i made another batch of my vegetarian chili YUM!!!

my mom made pumpkin with pilonsillo!! yum!! the brown chunks are mexican sugar that melts when cooked. this is raw still.

I found these glasses in my brother's bedroom and thought they were pretty funny. LOL so I took a picture with my phone then I used my phone to edit them and this is what i got! LOL

Pretty cold!

It's been pretty cold lately out here in L.A. Looks like winter is starting to kick in. At work, customers dont want to sit outside anymore. We dont bother setting the chairs and tables outside anymore when it's a rainy morning. During dinner everyone is seated inside and I take a walk on the patio outside. Very cold, clear sky, feels like christmas!! Of course i am bundled up and warm while sitting outside watching the bustling city slowly die down as everyone makes their way home on such a chilly evening. ahhhhhh! LOVE IT!!

Life is like a box of chocolates

on a rainy day, there is nothing like a box of sees candies assorted chocolate truffles!!!

Mexican Israeli dish

I made achiote marinated pork with israeli couscous. Achiote is a Mexican seasoning made with anatto seeds and for the Israeli couscous i dressed it up with some mexican squash, carrots, purple onion, salt and pepper. Because i am vegetarian, I cooked this and gave it to my mom. lol

Karim is my co worker from Paris and he is VERY VERY creative. He took the liberty of creating a drawing of some parisian landmarks on the blackboard behind my desk at work at Le Saint Amour. I love it! ha ha ha ha!
