MY FORMER CHEF INSTUCTOR ON THROWDOWN WITH BOBBY FLAY!!!!

K, so my sister was on youtube watching an episode of "Throwdown with Bobby Flay". In this episode, Bobby challenges two owners of a Mexican restaurant here in Los Angeles to a "chile relleno" throw down! As the video nears it's end and the judges are shown tallying up the points, my sister and I see a familiar face on the screen. She is a lady in all black and for some reason we seem to not recognize her until she begins talking. We both yell, "That's Chef Mena"!!!! Chef Mena was my sister's and my former baking and pastry chef instructor in culinary school. So without further ado, I'd like to introduce you all to my former chef instructor, CHEF MENA (she's the lady judge in all black at the ending of the show that announces the winner of this throwdown!!!!)

Some things you may not know about Wentworth Miller

I found an interesting article featuring some things about Wentworth Miller that we already know & a few things I didn't know/hadn't read before - not sure about you! The article is from early this month, but I thought it deserved a post regardless! Anyway, here's the whole list! 1 & 2 is what I I didn't know! 3-8 is stuff we all should know by now!

1. ...What is the most romantic gesture he has ever made? He reveals: "This one time I had a girlfriend that was out of the country a lot. So I gave her a watch and set it to ‘my time’ so wherever we were, we’d always be on the same time. I thought that was pretty romantic." Aww, how sweet! *I edited the part of this sentence before the ellipses b/c it needn't be seen again. This was a very sweet thing to do! I knew he was boyfriend/husband material!!!

2. Wentworth fancies trying his hand at a Superman villain after unsuccessfully auditioning to play the Man of Steel himself in the past. He says: "I'd definitely love a crack at General Zod. So I'm hoping that Bryan Singer makes a sequel to the Superman that's coming out and casts me." Since a sequel was confirmed earlier this year, we're keeping our fingers crossed! *While I knew about him auditioning for Superman, I didn't realize there was a sequel underway. I'll have to check that out & hope my Wenty makes the cut!

3. Wentworth was born in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, but his family moved to Brooklyn when he was just one year old.

4. Wentworth's ancestry is complicated enough to put even Johnny Depp to shame - his mum is Russian, French, Syrian, Lebanese and Dutch, while his dad is African-American, Jamaican, English, German and Cherokee.

5. Speaking of ancestry, Wentworth is determined to keep the family name going strong. He is Wentworth Miller III and his dad is Wentworth Miller II, so no prizes for guessing the name he's picked out for his future offspring.

6. Wentworth is every bit as brainy as his TV alter ego. He studied English literature at Princeton University, where he was apparently nicknamed "Stinky" because of his sarcastic attitude towards his friends. Charming!

7. When not burying his nose in a book, Wentworth sang baritone in the internationally-known all-male a cappella group Princeton Tigertones, who busked through Europe and the Middle East every summer.

8. Wentworth worked as a temp for studios, agencies and production companies before landing a role in The Human Stain. He recalls: "There were some lean years. I remember going through my CDs figuring out what I was willing to hock because I needed an extra $15 to make rent."

9. Wentworth confesses that he receives some eye-popping fan mail but is not always able to write back. "The mail amazes me," he says. "I sometimes get these letters that are ten pages, and handwritten, from women pouring their hearts out and, for security reasons, I can only respond with a headshot and 'Dear so and so, be good. WM.' It never feels like enough."

10. Wentworth claims to be "deathly allergic" to cats - and that's not all. He explains: "Unfortunately, I'm allergic to all animals and even some people. There was a scene where I had to give Dominic Purcell a hug - you know, a touching embrace between the brothers - and at the end of the night I had a rash on my neck. I got a lot of teasing on that."

Last night on Prison Break: The Recap

Episode 405 "Blow Out"
Airdate: 2008-9-29
*If you missed it: you can go to
FOX on Demand to watch the full episode before reading the recap!
SoLo's comments are italicized! Episode 407 "Five the Hard Way" promo & sneak peek coming soon!

Last week on Prison Break, the gang set out to find the third computer card. Gretchen escaped her prison after smelling what could only be described as “The smell of death.” Lastly, the General found out that Don Self has been looking into him. On with this weeks episode!

We kick off tonight’s episode with a bang! The whole gang were in progress of what looked like a very elaborate plan to snatch the next piece of Scylla. The entire beginning segment of the episode never stopped it’s action, very exciting. To make a long story short, the gang were at a horse racing derby, and their plan was to get to the manager’s office to plant Roland’s device. [Very exciting segment, in deed! I had fun watching this part. Bellick was hilarious, having a fit with the clerk at the desk! He looked like a kid throwing a tantrum - hands up in the air, almost jumping up & down! I've even gotta' admit that the doc played a vital role this episode... FINALLY! She was sexy & did a good job... 'bout time, b/c usually she's either in the way or just useless. Anyway, notice how Michael looked at her as she walked by & said "Don't get used to it"? *daydreaming about that stare* WOW! Anyway, back to the show ;)]

Was the manager involved in the company? No, actually, they made sure that one of the horses gates got jammed when opening, so the man that worked for the company would get angry enough to go to the manager’s office. A brilliant plan. Well done, Michael. [Quick observation: This is the 4th out of 6 cards needed for Scylla in six episodes. What will happen in the show when they get the rest of the cards?] Now to get the device back, that was Mahone’s job, but something went screwy, and before you knew it, he was getting caught by the police in a restricted area. So he was arrested with the device the team needed. [Since I'd already seen the preview, I knew what would happen here but it was still exciting to see! Sara did all she could to distract the officer so Mahone could get out but he wouldn't budge. I just couldn't figure out why, after Mahone got out of the manager's office, he hit the other officer! I'm sure he assumed that he would sock him then get away but it would have been better if he'd just said what he did about wanting a manager then allow the officer to escort him out... plausible, b/c he gets out with the device AND he's not suspected of any wrong doing... BUT if that were the case, we wouldn't have had the drama to follow, right! *ETA: I just thought about something as I am rewatching PB right now... Sara actually was the reason Mahone went to jail!!! She didn't do a good enough job distracting the cop so Alex had to sneak out back which is where he got caught! So it's all Sara's fault!!!!!!! Nah, I'm just picking since I didn't have a reason to say she's a waste of time! There wasn't anything she could have done... she tried really hard!]

In what looked like Pleasantville, Gretchen showed up at her sister’s house. She explained that she was stranded in the desert for quite a while, and had to walk the whole way. I am sure glad that T-Bag didn’t eat her. Things like that can happen in the desert. After a quick hot shower, she was ready for some action. She busted out a gun she had hidden in her sister’s house, which scared her sister. Then we learned the little girl her sister was taking care of was actually Gretchen’s daughter…wow. Saying her goodbyes, she was off, a girl on a mission. [This segment was very interesting. I'm loving Gretchen right now because, like Dave says here, she's "on a mission"! I know she's going to be major trouble for the Company. I'm not looking for her to team up with Mikey & the crew, but it would be nice b/c right now, everyone's main objective seems to be finding Scylla &/or taking the General & the Company down! At any rate, who knew Gretchen would be a mommy! She actually has some kind of heart, too! Saw those tears she "shed" as she kissed babygirl goodbye? Ahhh, how sweet! But the sweetness quickly turned to a vengeful poker face as she walked away!]

At Gate Co., things are beginning to look a little sketchy on T-Bag’s end. To keep his job there, he had to fill out some paperwork on his clients, but one of his superiors came in telling him that there was an inconsistency with his work, it seemed the social security numbers his clients gave him were all fake. He got away with that, but my guess is that he won’t be able to stay there for much longer.

Meanwhile, Don was informed about Mahone’s arrest, but he had to cut the call short, because there was a pesky IT guy sitting at his desk without authorization. We learned later that this IT guy was really a man that works for The Company, and was there keeping an eye on Don.

At the police station, Don showed up ready to bail Mahone out, but since he hit a police officer, he couldn’t do it. So he had Mahone sign a release form for his possessions, so they could get Roland’s device now, and figure out everything else later. [I felt really bad for Frank Zwan... sorry, Mahone LOL! His stake in all of this changed when Wyatt killed his son, so while he is wholeheartedly working on the mission, he is more concerned with avenging his little boy's death - rightfully so. I'm only hoping that this doesn't get him into more trouble that he can handle... Getting arrested in the US is not good for a man who is supposed to be incarcerated in a Panamanian prison LOL! Thankfully he had a fake ID to hold them off but with LAPD about to run his prints, he's looking a serious hiccup!]

At the federal building, Wyatt showed up to give Don a friendly hello. He told him that The General likes his privacy. Don told Mike that he had a conversation with Wyatt, which made him realise that if he can get to him, he can get to Mahone, which makes Mahone a liability, and he may need to be killed. Michael wasn’t ready to accept that just yet. [I guess Michael has realized he truly is like Odysseus - having to sacrifice his men for the sake of the mission. This is something that Michael said he does not want to deal with but now, he has no choice as Mahone is the first to be "put on the chopping block"!]

At Gate Corporation, T-Bag found some more bird book clues. It seemed he found a closet room that was the exact same dimensions that were in the book. This room, I’m guessing is very important, which means he’s getting close. This room reminded me of the storage room in Season 1 the gang used to dig a hole. Ahh, the glory days. [T-Bag truly is pesky! He always seems to be in the right place at the wrong time... or is it the right place at the wrong time? Either place or time, he seems to have a knack for finding something someone else needs! The guys are struggling with no clues, trying to piece all of this together and he has all the clues but knows not what they are for! Amazing! Ahh, but his time is short!]

[I've gotta catch you up before you read this next part b/c you might wonder about a few things... Mahone was approached by a police officer who told him the manager at the racetrack saw him with a younger man. He wanted to know who the younger man was but Mahone didn't give up any info. The cop assumed that Alex & Michael were planning to rob the vault and said he could cut him a break if he gave Mike up. He started saying things like "you probably have a wife to get home to, a family". Mahone starts to have flashbacks about Pam & Cameron & how Michael told him that he was on his own back in Sona. He seemed to be thinking about possibly doing it especially since Agent Self had just left demanding he sign over his personal effects so he could get the device. The officer told him to let him know if he wanted to talk & I'm guessing he decided not to rat Michael out b/c he ended up in court!

Ok, so the gang had planned to take over the wiring of the 5th cardholder's home and they were on their way there but Mahone called Michael to tell him that Wyatt showed up at the jail. He assured Michael he would not say anything about the mission but Michael had to promise him one thing: kill Wyatt then call Pam to let her know that he (Wyatt) was gone. Michael does so promise then hangs up the phone. You can tell that Michael is not comfortable just letting Alex "take one for the team". He's not the kind of guy to allow someone to be in danger and not do anything about it, especially when he can do something about it! He knows that Mahone is either going to be killed by Wyatt sooner or later or he's going to spend a very long time behind bars, so he has to do something SOON!]

At Mahone’s court hearing, Wyatt showed up. He wasn’t the only one, Sara also came, as well as Sucre. Something was obviously up. You guessed it, another genius plan put together by Michael. They took over the power for the court building. They increased the power, making all the lights go out, giving Sucre and Sara enough time to get Mahone out unnoticed. Incredible. As they were escaping, Wyatt very convincingly pointed his finger at Mahone, pantomiming pulling a trigger. Hey, it’s more scary than taunting a victim with lemonade. [This was one of my favorite parts of the show last night because at first I'm thinking, Sara's a damn doctor! She can't pose as an attorney! But then when the power went out & Mahone was rescued, I realized her goal was to grab his file with his fingerprints -- very happy to see this character being put to some good use! Wyatt was so pissed off b/c he wanted Mahone so bad! I was cheering the whole time -- Michael's brilliance at work again! He's definitely the guy I'd want on my team & the one I'd call to get me out of a jam... and I do mean ANY jam ;) Back at the warehouse, Mahone thanks everyone for saving him, whether they did it for the team or for him... while it was for the team, I'm guessing Michael actually did it for him. Michael is that kind of guy!]

Back at Gate, T-Bag was approached again by his superior. He told him that he found even more inconsistencies in his report. He was caught as a fraud, and had to run. The closet room will have to wait for a later episode. At the end, at Whistler’s hideaway spot, Gretchen ran into T-Bag. Apparently, she has never met him before. I never thought about that. Cue the end credits. [T-Bag is so crazy! He was told by the guy (I forgot his name), that he had 5 minutes to get in his office & explain the discrepancies or he was calling the authorities. T-Bag got all flustered, wiped down the office, grabbed the book, told the secretary "Nice knowing you, sugar" and bolted out of there like lightning! Gretchen actually found T-Bag by going to the county morgue and posing as Whistler's (well Gary Miller's) wife. She punches out this guy so she could get the file and Whistler's personal effects. She gets a cell phone out of the file & listens to a message from a woman saying that the check cleared & the apartment is ready. By the time T-Bag gets to the apartment to wipe away fingerprints from there and clear out, Gretchen is already there! She punches T-Bag's in the face, steps on his face with a stiletto at least 5", pulls a gun on him & says "Who the hell are you?" I swear I love her!

*ETA: I almost forgot that Mahone called Wyatt, who was obviously waiting for him to contact him sooner or later! Wyatt tells Mahone since he worked for the Company that he should know not to take things personally. He even tells Alex that they need to "discuss" some things! Of course that didn't go over well! Mahone's like, "yeah whatever... I'm gonna "ghost" you!!!" Well, he didn't say it exactly like that, but it's what he meant!]

Next week, it seems the show is going to get even more like the Oceans 11 movies, as the gang sets off to Las Vegas. This should be interesting.

MOVIE NIGHT!!!! 9/28

I know it's Monday today and we're all getting ready to savor Prison Break so we won't be watching any movies tonight, but here is a great horror movie that scared the pants off of me. LOL!! "School Killer" is this weeks pick!

This 2001 Spanish horror film is originally titled "Nos van a matar a todos" (They are going to kill us all) but i guess they've given it an English title as well. It's a well made film, in my opinion, and one that will certainly have you hiding under the covers of your bed ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Anyway, I do recommend this movie for a spooky movie night. There are some rated "R" scenes so kids, this movie is not for you... and parents, keep out of reach of children. ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Here's the synopsis courtesy of MSN movies and Jason Buchanan

"A horrifying tragedy reaches out from the past to terrorize a group of teenage thrill-seekers exploring an abandoned school in this Spanish slasher starring legendary horror icon Paul Naschy. It was over two decades ago that a mentally unstable security guard went on a murderous killing spree in the halls of the now-abandoned school, but when a group of unsuspecting teens break into the school in hopes of getting a cheap scare, the reappearance of the psychotic security guard finds the teenage explorers running for their lives."

There is small "X" rated part in this trailer so no kids please. Besides this is a horror film with a whole lot of gruesome killings it's not appropriate for children anyway. The trailer is in Spanish, by the way, so sorry if you can't understand it. The movie does, however, have English subtitles, so get it & ENJOY!!!

This week, our quote is by one of the MOST TALENTED FEMALE CHEFS of ALL TIME!! This Chef was AMAZING and one of my (SoHo) FAVORITE chefs. MASTER OF CLASSIC French cuisine the departed, Mrs. JULIA CHILD!!!! That's right!!! Julia Child!!!! I am telling you, this woman was a master of her field and if you have not heard of this legendary chef, definitely look her up. Even though she has passed away, she has left a large part of herself with fellow culinarians through her books and tv show (which you can purchase both online LOL!!!) This woman was and still remains my idol. Julia collaborated with another legendary and extraordinary chef, JAQUES PEPAN (another AMAZING chef and one of my favorites) Ok, enough of my blabbing ha ha ha ha ha!!! Here's the quote... Google is turning 10!

I didn't realize Google has been around for 10 years! I guess I wasn't using it back then but I use the heck out of it now! I'm one of those people who use "google" as a verb! Thanks, Google, for adding to the English language!

To celebrate this anniversary, Google has launched Project 10 to the 100th, which is "a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible". I think it's a wonderful idea, so much so that I submitted my "dream" idea! I enjoy helping kids & feel like they are our greatest asset. Without them, we truly have no future!

Anyway, here's Google's You Tube vid explaining the project. You can watch it to find out more or click on the link above!

What do they mean: "the last season"?

The buzz online today is that Entertainment Weekly had a heart to heart with Prison Break producer Matt Olmstead. Now I'm 95% sure I read this somewhere like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I particularly remember the part where Mr. Olmstead says "There’s a shelf life to serialized drama. If this is the last season, we’re not mourning that because it’s been a great ride and we have a great season [ahead]." I can't find where I posted this before, so I'm assuming I just read it (during one of my many trysts online) without blogging about it. I have my moments... don't shoot me!

Anyway, they're saying the ratings for my favorite show are down this season. I find it hard to believe because I think this season is very exciting! I've been on the edge of my seat at each commercial break - although, I was on the edge of my seat during every commercial break the past three years... sooooo, erm... don't know if that's a good argument! I mean I know ratings mean a lot to these networks but we fans are anxiously awaiting every episode. Forget the people who don't watch anymore or at all... the fans, who remain faithful, love the show and we should count for something! You hear that FOX? We matter!!!!

Matt O goes on to say that if the show is cancelled in the middle of the season, the writers are "prepared. The season finale we have in mind could play as a season or series finale." He says that [Prison Break] producers have "absolutely been encouraged by the response" to the fourth season. "It took a while to get the right idea... and to have the audience supporting it is very gratifying."

This sucks if this is a possibility. I have already grasped the concept that this might be the last season. I'm not happy about it but I understand that the show can't run forever BUT there is no way possible that FOX can axe it without giving us 22 episodes! It's bad enough we didn't have a full third season; this would just be a spit in the face!
ETA: We have a poll right now that asks our readers to vote if they like/dislike/etc. the new season. A couple of people voted they don't like it (I think I know who one person is LOL). In light of what Matt Olmstead has said, I'd like to know what you guys don't like about the show! I'm just trying to understand what has turned/is turning people off.

I'm SOOOOOOOOO happy!!!!

My satellite is working again! Well, actually I got a new satellite since the other one was demolished! Although I missed recording and rewinding Prison Break this past Monday, I'll be darned if I don't record the rest of the season! Ya'll simply cannot understand how spoiled I am to this darn DVR thingie! I didn't even want it when I got the satellite, but the installer dude did it anyway - guess he forgot... WHATEVER, but I'm so thankful he did!

There's a very old "throwback" song that comes to mind when I think about the excitement in my heart! Wanna' know what it is? OK... here it is! LOL!!!!!!!!

Last Night on Prison Break: The Recap

Episode 405 "Safe and Sound"
Airdate: 2008-9-22

*If you missed it: you can go to FOX on Demand to watch the full episode before reading the recap!
SoLo's comments are italicized! Episode 406 "Blow Out" promo & sneak peek coming up!

Last time on Prison Break, the gang went out to grab information from yet another computer card from the company, and in the meantime, T-Bag showed up in LA to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. The brothers and Mahone dressed up as policemen, and got the second card. In the last second of the episode, Wyatt is shown following Sara.

This episode started off right after last week left off. Wyatt was still following Sara, but after a quick check of her purse, she noticed Bruce’s card was missing. With a quick turn around, she noticed her pursuer. So Sara began running, didn’t look both ways before crossing the street, so she almost got hit by five different cars. All is good though, because she got away. [Darn again! I really wanted her to get caught but it's too early in the season for that!]

Back at headquarters, Don takes a quick look at the photographs of the card holders, and notices a familiar face. The head of the U.S. Treasury building, Griffin. So their plan is to get to him, and get the card. Bellick and Sucre decide that their next step is to find T-Bag, because he has the book they need.

Next we see Mahone meeting his ex-wife, Pam, at a diner. No, they aren’t getting together to eat pancakes; Mahone was there to have his ex identify Wyatt. She points him out, and Mahone starts busting out crying, but its okay, Pam still loved him enough to give him a pat on the back, telling him everything will be just fine. [This was actually a sad moment to see Pam gag with sickness when she saw Wyatt's pic. I felt so bad for her & I'm actually starting to like Mahone a lot! I'm hoping he twists Wyatt's head off. The again, I hope Gretchen twists his head off, too! I'm beginning to like her as well... for now! BTW, Pam gave Mahone more that just a pat on the back... she gave him an "iron" gift in a brown paper bag! I'm sure it'll come in handy!]

Still kicking back at Gate Co., T-Bag found some more clues to his mysterious bird book. Apparently if you spill a little hot tea on the book, something hidden appears on the pages. [Actually, that can happen! I saw it on a Dateline show not long ago. Apparently when the caffeine mixes with the invisible in on the paper, it creates a chemical reaction that causes the ink to become visible... VOILA! You can read the message! It can also happen when a letter written with urine is heated!]

So Don made it to the Treasury building, and met up with Griffin, who was not very happy to see him. Self made a false threat to buy time, but back at the warehouse, they weren’t getting any signal. But when Griffin opened his “crazy” safe, as Don put it, they realized that the safe held the computer card they needed. So the gang told him to get some blue prints, so they can figure out a plan. [This scene was actually funny as heck to me because the very thing that Michael told Self to say to be able to get into Griffin's office is EXACTLY what he told the man when he got in there LOL! Hilarious that he didn't even take time to think of something else! Check this out...

Self: I know this guy.
Michael: Well, if he's in your building you can get close to him.
S: I would need a reason.
M:Well, you make something up. Something about Al-Qaeda using stolen bearer bonds to finance shady operations. Whatever.
S: Come on, making false claims in matters affecting government security? That's up to five years in prison.
M: Welcome to the club, Agent Self.

Then later in the episode when Self goes to see Griffin Oren:

Self: Don Self, Homeland Security. I need to see Mr. Oren right away... Ma'am (talking to Oren's secretary) I need to see him right away otherwise hundreds of American lives will be in jeopardy... I'm sorry to barge in here, but this is urgent... We are hearing chatter about some stolen bearer bonds and we have reason to believe that Al-Qaeda...
Griffin: Do you have serial numbers?... Talk to Angela down the hall.

LOL!!! Either Michael's idea was so brilliant that he couldn't think of anything better or he's a moron!]

Finally, Sara made it back to headquarters, and told the gang about the big scary guy that was following her. Mahone shoved a picture of Wyatt in her face, to which she confirmed it was in fact the same man who killed his son. [Again, I have to say, that while she is useful 10% of the time, Sara is more of a hinderance! Had she not nearly had a relapse & gone to find a bar to get wasted, Bruce's credit card wouldn't have gotten stolen which means Wyatt would not have tracked her down & had a chance to chase her. She claims to have made sure she wasn't followed BUT how do we know that... better yet, how does she know that for sure? Wyatt is smart & he could be waiting for the right moment! I guess we'll have to see.]

Speaking about Wyatt, he made a little visit to see Gretchen, who was in terrible shape. He wanted to know why the team was in Los Angeles, as if she’d know. [You know what's amazing to me? The fact that they're wasting time torturing Gretchen. They know the girl can endure physical & psychological torture, yet they feed her a frickin' tablespoon of honey & water while sitting her in a tiny box of a room, handcuffed & punishing her. If he gave Bruce the "truth serum", why not give it to Gretchen? She can't withstand that! UNLESS they know something I don't know! Anyway, I'll be glad when she gets out of this so she can kick Wyatt's...]

At Gate Corporation, Bellick and Sucre miraculously found the right building where T-Bag was at, but the secretary didn’t give him up. Soon after, Sucre and Bellick left when Michael phoned them, telling them that a plan has been set into motion, and he needed them. The secretary walked into T-Bag’s office, and they made a deal. She would get 3% of his commission from now on. Later on in the episode, a man came to visit T-Bag asking for Scylla, and if he doesn’t hand it over in three days, he is a gonner. [Miraculously? Not so sure about that! I'm sure they checked every building & company in the area... but we needn't see that part! Anyway, little missy at Gate does NOT know who she's dealing with! I think she got a cold shiver when T-Bag told her the story about the greedy leprechaun captor LOL! Although after the big guy came looking for T, I think she started to rethink giving him up!]

And indeed the plan was on. Don got the boys into the building, and set them on their way, but it was up to them from that point forward. Sucre set up the elevator so it went straight to the floor they needed, with no interuption. Next to Griffin’s room was another man’s office. Don took that man out to lunch so the boys could get to work. Michael and Lincoln jumped into an air duct and Lincoln noticed his brother’s nosebleeds for the first time, and asked how long it’s been happening. Michael shrugs it off, but Lincoln said something about nosebleeds being a big deal when he was 13 years old… [When Michael said it wasn't a big deal, in regards to his nose bleeding, what Lincoln actually said was that it wasn't a big deal when he was 13. This was interesting because it could mean that Mikey got nosebleeds as a kid. It could also mean that it might need to be looked into because most adults don't get nosebleeds for apparently no reason. While I'm sure it's not the latter, this is something else we'll have to wait to see.]

Sucre and Bellick acted as janitors cleaning up a mess on the floor to distract the secretary from seeing what was happening on the inside. Mike and Linc were making a huge hole in the wall to get to the computer card on the other side. All goes well until the Head of the Company waltzed into Griffin’s room to have a chat with him. It seemed he wanted Griffin’s card, so Michael quickly got the card out, and Roland immediatley started the download. [Sucre & Bellick on the outside was hilarious b/c you could see Bellick with this smirk on his face! He reminded me of Curly from "The Three Stooges" LOL! The part when the secretary got extremely frustrated (frustrated b/c the machine they were using was loud enough to cover up the drilling noise the brothers were making inside the office) & wanted to get into the office to get mail off her boss's desk was a close one, but "Sugar" came up with a quick excuse to not let her in! BTW - major "hiccup" when the old, bald one walks in! I'm like - OMG! WHAT NOW??]

Though I have to say, the download speed for this card was incredibly slow, perhaps dial-up?
But Mike got the information of the card JUST in time, and they all left. [Quick question, when Michael got the card, why didn't they all just bolt with the card?] We have a new name for the Head of the Company, it appears he is called “The General.” Sara told Michael that she overheard Gretchen say his name once when she was held captive. [This card did download very slowly! I was so antsy watching this entire segment, which was great because it added to the suspense of things! This episode is my favorite this season, so far, BUT I didn't fancy the whole delay to ask "the General" a question so Michael wouldn't get caught with the card(good question: Why didn't they just take the card? I'm guessing that is because then the Company would have proof that something is up. Right now, they can only assume that there could be an issue. I'd say a missing card is a major red flag!) I think the writers could have written something else in there to delay him... maybe Oren's cell phone ringing before he made the thumbprint recognition or him asking the question BEFORE he done everything! It just looked stupid that he put in the code, verified his print, put his hand on the door to open it, THEN just stop cold to ask that dumb question... anyway, I really thought Gretchen called him "the General" in season 3? I could be wrong, but I could have sworn while talking to him, she called him that or perhaps, while talking to someone else, she referred to him as that.]

SPEAKING of Gretchen, she pulled a Michael Scofield and escaped from her own prison. At the very end of the episode, The General was told that an agent named Don Self has been looking into him. So now The General knows about Don Self… I wonder what terrible things are going to happen to Don… I guess we’ll find out next week! [YAY!!! Gretchen got loose! I was so glad! I'm sure that'll be the only time I'll be rooting for her, but I was glad she got away! Don Self is in a whole heck of a lot of trouble. He's been "green lit"!]

One thing this recap didn't touch on was that Mahone went to pay Wyatt a little visit. Mahone, Sara & Roland started researching where Wyatt could be staying, etc. Using his FBI skills, which I absolutely love now - hated his expertise in season 2 LOL! - Mahone was able to narrow down the area where Wyatt would be staying, which of course we know would have to be a motel - somewhere he could pay cash - & because he has to be mobile, he figured out where he could possibly be renting a car from. He finally finds Wyatt's motel, shows the manager Wyatt's photo & asks if he's seen him. The manager lies & says that Wyatt had just checked out so Mahone asks to see the room where he was staying. While Mahone goes to see the room, the manager calls Wyatt, who had previously paid him $300 to let him know if anyone started looking for him. Mahone's sixth sense kicks in & he goes back to catch the manager on the phone with Wyatt, just as he answers. Mahone pulls a gun on the man so he lies to Wyatt, saying he only called to let him know that his shift was over & no one had come by. Mahone takes the sticky note with Wyatt's phone number & leaves. Again, you gotta' love Mahone this season, although I'm afraid his passion for finding Wyatt is blinding him - but you can't blame the guy. It just may prove to be attention the gang does not need.

MOVIE NIGHT!!!!

This week's movie is called "The Science of Sleep" starring the very sexy Mexican Actor, Gael Garcia, Bernal who was featured as Hot Man of The Week on our blog a few weeks ago. This movie is REALLY interesting. The first time I saw this movie, a couple of years back I was VERY impressed with how it was written and the all the props used as well as all the digital work, I mean it's a really good movie about a young man who's dreams are soooo strong and powerful, that they seem to affect his life when he's awake. He later begins to like his neighbor who's also very creative but his dreams keep getting in the way of them being together. Here is a plot summary courtesy of yahoo movies. I really do recommend this movie. It's like a dream on the set. LOL!!! ENJOY!!!

Life seems to be looking up for shy and withdrawn Stephane when he is coaxed to return to his childhood home with the promise of a job, in the mundane world of copy setting. Wildly creative, his fanciful and sometimes disturbing dream life constantly threatens to usurp his waking world. Stephane is quickly drawn to his neighbor, Stephanie whose imagination easily matches his own. As their relationship blossoms, the confidence Stephane exudes in his dreams begins bleeding over into his real life. Unable to bear the prospect of a waking world without Stephanie's love, and with no satisfying solutions coming out of his dream world, Stephane faces a dilemma he may not be able to depend on the science of sleep to help him solve.

I just need to fuss for a minute...

This is going to be the 4th Monday in a row that I cannot DVR Prison Break! I am so frustrated! When the tree hit my house during the storm, it knocked the satellite down from the roof & of course it's damaged. I called Dish to come & put another one over a week ago; they were supposed to come this past Saturday but they didn't show up. I called to find out what was going on but the representative couldn't reach the tech's office! So she asked when I called & adjusted my upcoming bill to reflect credits for the days I would have been watching TV had the technician come out. That's very nice of her & well I do appreciate it, I still can't DVR & re-watch Prison Break later, which breaks my heart.

William Fichtner in New Show ‘Night and Day’

William Fichtner has been tapped for the lead role in TNT’s drama pilot Night and Day. William doesn’t have a deal with Prison Break beyond Season 4, so I guess it makes sense. As of right now there are no plans to kill off his character, but there are also no plans for a Season 5!

Anyway, the new project is written and executive produced by 24 co-creator Joel Surnow and Todd Robinson. Night and Day is supposed to be a fast-paced, gritty drama about the life of Dan Hollister [Fichtner], an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms who works for a special threat intervention task force.

Jodi Lyn O'Keefe at Emmy's after party... with a tattoo!

On the show Prison Break, Michael is the character with the full body tattoo though now it's been removed. In real life, Dominic Purcell is the real tattoo man but is Jodi Lyn O'Keefe the tattoo woman? Well as I searched for some pics of her at the Emmy after party that took place last night here in Los Angeles (she arrived with Gregory Arlt). While looking, I noticed a picture of her at the Fox eco casino party on September 8th where she spun the oh so familiar wheel!! She wore these BEAUTIFUL shoes, even sported a couple of tattoos on her ankles! Check them out!! I am not sure what this one tattoo is, but the second one is a letter of the English alphabet. Hmmm wonder what it stands for. Anyway, Jodi looked ABSOLUETY STUNNING, as always!!!

She was also at the Fox Eco casino party... no Wentworth this time. Sorry girls. But for the guys, you can sure get an eye full of the lovely Ms. O' Keefe!! ENJOY!

A gift from a police officer saved Robert Knepper's life????

It's been really slow lately. No Prison Break news/spoilers no Went news so here's a little something on the creepy yet HILARIOUS in his own way prison break con Robert Knepper!!!!

Robert Knepper Saved by Police Officer’s Gift

robert-knepper-t-bag-prison-break-season-4.jpgRobert Knepper says that a kind gesture from a Boston police officer may have saved his life.

Knepper says that he was given a Boston Police jacket as a gift from an officer in the early 1990s while performing in a show at the Huntington Theatre.

Knepper loved the department-issue leather jacket and wore it often in Manhattan. That action helped when a phone booth call turned bad. “It was early February,” Knepper tells the Boston Herald. “It got dark early at night. I’m trying to find a phone booth; they are all broken down. I’m walking up 42nd Street, Midtown, finally I found a phone that works - so I’m on the phone, closed the door.

All of a sudden there was a gun at the back of his head. “‘Listen (expletive), I’m going to blow your (expletive) head off. This is it (expletive),’” Knepper relates.

Knepper says that he started to turn to the guy. “He’s saying, ‘Don’t look at me (expletive). Don’t you look at me.’ And I turn, I saw his eyes and he was looking at the Boston Police (insignia), and he said, ‘I’m just kidding you (expletive). I’m just kidding you.’

WOW!!!! crazy right??

Feeling Good 9/21

Time to get your brain a working with some of these "Did you know?" facts!

Did you know...

that chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans have been taught hand signs based on American Sign Language? They, however, have never been successfully taught grammar. In 2003, a saved Bonobo ape named Kanzi allegedly independently created some words to convey certain concepts.

Did you know...

that the African Grey Parrot, which possesses the ability to mimic human speech with a high degree of accuracy, is suspected of having sufficient intelligence to begin to comprehend some of the speech it mimics? Most species of parrot, despite expert mimicry, are believed to have no linguistic comprehension at all.

Did you know...

that there are an estimated 100 trillion red-billed quelea birds?

Did you know...

that the Sitatunga is an amphibious antelope from East Africa? It lives in thickly vegetated, muddy swamps and marshes.

Did you know...

that no one knows who invented spectacles?

Did you know...

that a diamond will shatter if you hit it with a hammer? It is the hardest natural substance on earth, but if it is placed in an oven and the temperature is raised to about 1,405 degrees Fahrenheit (763 degrees Celsius), it will simply vanish, without even ash remaining. Only a little carbon dioxide will have been released.

Did you know...

that diamonds are formed over a period of a billion or more years deep within earth's crust - about 0- miles 150km (90 miles) deep - and is pushed to the surface by volcanoes? Most diamonds are found in volcanic rock, called Kimberlite, or in the sea after having been carried away by rivers when they were pushed to the surface.

Did you know...

that a diamond is 58 times harder than the next hardest mineral on earth, corundum, from which rubies and sapphires are formed. It was only during the 15th century that it was discovered that the only way to cut diamonds was with other diamonds.

Did you know...

that the world's largest diamond was the Cullinan, found in South Africa in 1905? It weighed 3,106.75 carats uncut. It was cut into the Great Star of Africa, weighing 530.2 carats, the Lesser Star of Africa, which weighs 317.40 carats, and 104 other diamonds of nearly flawless colour and clarity. Did you also know that they now form part of the British crown jewels? The Cullinan was three times the size of the next largest diamond, the Excelsior, which was also found in South Africa. The world's largest documented polished diamond - unearthed in 1986, also in South Africa - is called Unnamed Brown. It weighs 545 carats and was cut down from a 700 carat rough diamond. It took an international team of expert cutters 3 years to complete the masterpiece. Another impressive diamond that also took 3 years to cut, and also is part of the British crown jewels, is the Centenary Diamond. It weighs 273.85 carats and is the world's largest flawless diamond.

Did you know...

that not all diamonds are white? Of course you did! But it's the impurities in diamonds that lend to their to shades of blue, red, orange, yellow, green and even black. Did you also know that a green diamond is the rarest. It is not the rarest gemstone, however. That title goes to a pure red ruby.

Did you know...

that 80% of diamonds are not suitable for jewelry? They are used in industry. Only diamonds of higher clarity are sourced to the jewelry stores.

Did you know...

that the word carat derives from the carob bean. Gem dealers used to balance their scales with carob beans because these beans all have same weight. Did you also know that one diamond carat is 200 milligrams (0.007055 oz).

Did you know...

that the Greek word adamas is the base word for diamond? It means "unconquerable."
