Episode 415 "Going Under" promo & sneak peek coming up next (airs Dec. 15, 2008)!
Last week: The guys dealt with Self hanging them out to dry & stealing Scylla. DHS was after them & nearly took them out until a company operative, directed to bring them in, killed Self's boss. Self solicited an unlikely Tbag for help in getting to Gretchen by kidnapping her sister & little girl after finding out he didn't actually have ALL of Scylla. General Krantz was still on a mission to regain possession of Scylla... at any means necessary! Self tells Michael that he wants the chip he has & Michael tells him to "come and get it" - can you tell I love that part ;)
This week: Sara is still giving Michael the injections to hold off the effects of the tumor. Lincoln canvases the area around the warehouse when he notices a car that shouldn't be there. As the guys prepare for a plan to meet with Self, he decides to start sending smoke bombs in the warehouse! When Mike, Sucre & Sara try to escape, they get shot at! Self fires in another "smoke bomb" and just as he's getting ready to fire another one, Lincoln walks up from behind & smacks him in the head with his gun! GO LINC!!! I love it!
Lincoln brings Self inside & Michael tells him they want to go get Scylla. He refuses so Linc shoves a gun to his face. Gretchen bursts in, guns blazing - she's on the wrong side but you gotta love this girl! Everyone's pointing a gun at everyone else (including Sara) as Self tries to explain his way out of being shot. He tells the gang that he's only selling Scylla to this guy so he can take down the company & get paid. He offers them a nine figure pay off not to turn him in. Michael tells Self that before he agrees to this, he wants to meet the buyer. Self has the audacity to say that this whole thing was "just business" as he leaves. Michael thinks the best thing to do is wait for Alex to meet with his FBI contact & get Scylla back.
Alex is meeting with Felicia Lang, his trusted cohort in the agency. He explains what's going on and what's at stake. He asks if there's anyone in the agency that she trusts... her reply? HIM - ahh how sweet! He thanks her but insists that he really needs help with this, so she tells him that there maybe someone.
Meanwhile back at the ranch - Company headquarters, that is - General Krantz insists the best way to find Scylla is to find Gretchen & Self.
TBag, still holding Rita & little Emily hostage in their own home, starts questioning Rita about Emily's dad. She doesn't give up much information, but asks that he please not harm Emily. I think Tbag was a little upset by that, asking if she thought he was some kind of monster... umm, yeah, you think? Although, lately, he's been having a huge change of heart. He feels as if he's hostage of his old identity. He wants to be Cole Pfieffer but feels he has no choice but to continue in the "captivity of his old identity".
Michael & Lincoln contemplate the best way to handle this fiasco. Lincoln wants to sell Scylla but Mike thinks that whomever this buyer is could end up being another General wanting to create another "company". Sucre texts Mike letting him know that he's in the trunk of Self & Gretchen's car. At the same time, Linc picks up a piece of the smoke bomb... problem is, the piece he doesn't see is actually some kind of camera that allows Gretchen Louise and Self the rat to see inside the warehouse... giving them first hand knowledge of everything the gang does and says!
As Michael prepares for the next phase of the plan, Sara tells him that he's building up a tolerance to the meds and he can't have more or it will be more damaging than the tumor itself. Linc tells Mike that he & Sucre can handle the job but Michael insists on going along. Linc walks away upset & Sara tries to get Michael to understand that Lincoln is so worried because he's simply trying to protect him. Michae's already done so much for Lincolen and if Michael dies trying to continue on this journey, how is Lincoln gonna' deal with that?
Self & Gretchen arrive at some sleazebag hotel and Sucre hops out of the trunk without being notices, but snatches the rest of the smoke bombs from the trunk as he departs! Smart, papi, smart!
Michael is in the bathroom at the warehouse just about to take another injection, even after Sara warned him not to. Lincoln walks in so he hides the syringe. He tells Lincoln that even though he initially thought he killed Steadman, by the time he met with him & left, he knew he didn't do and he had to save his brother. He assured him that no matter what, he does not regret doing what he did! Ahh, I almost shed a tear! When Linc leaves, Michael injects the meds and hides the chip again.
Self sees everything that Mike is doing in the bathroom and orders Gretchen to call Viking but she refuses. She insists that she isn't calling Viking until she talks to her daughter. Self calls Tbag & gets him to put Emily on the phone. Emily tells mommy Gretchen that Tbag is a mean man. Gretchen reminds her of the time when another mean man disappeared & if she doesn't' like "this mean man", then he'll leave & never come back as well! I've gotta' tell you that I think Gretchen means business! We all know she's handy when it comes to getting rid of people! Self quickly snatches the phone from her & tells Tbag that if he doesn't hear from him in two hours, to kill Gretchen's sis & baby girl!
Meanwhile, back at Rita's house, the doorbell rings. It's a very insistent Bible salesman who makes Tbag very suspicious. Tbag notices this special ring on the man's finger and realizes he must be Company. Tbag punches his lights out then drags him in the house, forcing Rita to get rope so he can tie the man up!
As Mahone sits tucked away in a little cafe, Felicia Lang walks in Mark Wheeler (remember the little guy from S2 who was Alex's underling at the time - the one who turned him in to his superiors...)! Alex begins to explain the situation and while Wheeler is skeptical, he listens and tells Mahone that if his intel is legit, he'll help him. Alex calls Michael to see how the plan is progressing. Michael assures him that they are close to getting Scylla. Sucre and Michael come up with a plan to shoot the smoke bombs into Self & Gretchen's room.
At Company headquarters, Lisa gives her father her letter of resignation, telling him that she now knows what kind of person he really is. His comeback line: I wanted a son! Whoa... that's gonna' put a damper on Christmas dinner!
A very bothered Tbag interrogates the "Bible salesman". While Rita tries to reason with Tbag on behalf of the man, Tbag insists that she wouldn't know a Company agent because they can blend in with any walk of life so well, even a Bible selling dude! He yells out "I ain't Scofield! I ain't Burrows! This ain't my life; leave me alone!" The man pleads for his life saying the military ring he's wearing is not his; it's his dead brother's who died in Baghdad. Still not convinced, Tbag refuses to let him go until he hears from Self.
Sara & Sucre show up at the Faultleroy Hotel searching for Gretchen. After $200 and some serious stares from Sucre, the man gives her up. Sara calls Michael telling him where they need to launch the smoke bombs. Michael and Lincoln prepare!
Viking calls to find out what's going on with Scylla & insists on talking to Gretchen because Self is a "mook"! I love Viking! Self is such a pompous jerk but Viking has a way of letting him know he's nothing!
Sucre pays the front desk dude another $100 to call Self to tell him that someone's looking for him. Of course this was to flush them out of the room so they could get Scylla. Lincoln prepares some old pipes they find so he can launch the smoke bombs. Michael rigs the fire escape when he notices that he's bleeding... AGAIN!
Gretchen tells Self she's gonna' search the halls for intruders. She leaves him in the room and tells him to get out at the sign of trouble. As she walks out, she kicks a homeless guy sleeping in the staircase... she didn't know the homeless guy was Sucre. Sucre starts beating her a** but it doesn't take long for Gretchen to return the favor. They continue to exchange blows when Sucre's gunshot wound from a few epis ago starts bleeding. Gretchen gets Sucre down to the floor and pulls a gun when Sara comes from behind & shoves her down the stairs! Way to go, Sara!
From an adjacent rooftop, Lincoln fires in a smoke bomb. Self tries to get out of the room when he notices Sucre and Gretchen going at it. He mad dashes back in the hotel room and rushes out to the fire escape. When he gets on, the fire escape goes crashing to the ground! You had to have seen this to know how frickin funny it was to see him land on his frickin back! Michael comes out of nowhere and punches him out! YAY Michael... 'bout time he shows some aggression and beats somebody up! Not sure if you ever saw the movie "Friday" with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker, but there's this one part where this guy gets punched so hard that they say, "You got knocked the **** out"! Well, that's what Michael did to Self! I love it! Michael grabs Scylla from Self & takes off.
Gretchen manages to get up & run with Lincoln hot on her tail. She fires off a shot at him, just enough for her to get away from Lincoln & go outside to another gun battle! OMG so much action! Remember the Company gang is out to get her so that's who shows up with machine guns. Amazing how, she, with a hand gun, manages to evade like 5 people, shoot two of them, steal one of their vehicles and get away! Again, you gotta' love this girl! Oh yeah, Lincoln who ran out after her, managed to not be seen and gets away, too.
Meanwhile in the alley, Michael is trying to get away with Scylla when he starts to bleed a lot. He gets dizzy and tries to feel his way, but he can't take it any longer... he passes out with no one around to help! Self catches up to him, snatches Scylla and gets away with Gretchen just as the Company goons show up. They grab Michael and put him in the van. Lincoln runs after them but of course he doesn't catch them.
Sara & Sucre find the computer with the images of the warehouse. They know that Gretchen & Self are after the chip. Self & Gretchen make it to the warehouse bathroom & find the chip. Gretchen pulls a gun on him but of course he reminds her that he has her daughter held hostage so she lets him walk away.
Back at the warehouse, Sara, Lincoln and Sucre are distraught over Michael being taken. Alex calls but Lincoln has to tell him that there's no reason for him to come back because they no longer have Scylla or any leverage to get it or Michael back.
Michael is strapped down on a table in a some medical facility. Just as he's given meds, some strange old hand touches Michael's hand. The doctors start hooking him up to wires and machines & guess who appears in the background? Yep... the General!
Just as Gretchen & Self arrive for their meeting with Viking, Tbag calls to tell him about the Bible salesman/coud be Company operative who showed up at Rita's house. Self's instructions are simple: no matter who he is, KILL HIM! Tbag orders Rita to go back in the playroom with Emily so he could kill the man. But Rita comes back to tell him that Cole Pfieffer would not do what he was about to do. Tbag starts babbling about his dad and quoting scriptures. The man finishes off this Bible quote and "old Tbag" realizes that he can be a better person. He decides not to kill the man, gives Rita some money, tells her to take Emily and go! He thanks her & tells the man to leave as well. The man thanks Tbag for sparing his life and just as Tbag turns his back, BAM! The dude hits him & puts him in a sleeper hold until he's out cold! I frickin knew it!
Viking shows up at the meeting place. He verifies that he does in fact have a complete Scylla this time while Self verifies that that the buyer is coming with the money. When everyone is happy with the terms, Self shoots the guy! OMG I cannot wait for his demise!
Mahone watches as Agents Lang & Wheeler have a rather heated discussion outside the cafe. Mahone is unsure if Wheeler can be trusted but still leaves when Lang tells him that he has a meeting with the Attorney General. As he gets to the car, he realizes that there really is no meeting but rather, he is being taken into custody. Despite his current predicament, he thanks Felicia for her help as she sobs in deep sorrow.
Back at Company headquarters, Lincoln shows up demanding to see Michael. General Krantz takes Linc downstairs where Michael is. The General tells him that he is willing to provide the best possible care for Michael in exchange for Lincoln getting Scylla back. He tells Lincoln that he knows it will be hard for him to work for him so he hands him a notebook with a label on it: "Tombstone II"...
