Office Workouts: Trunk Rotations

Continuing with our summer workout program, we bring you "Trunk Rotations" this week. This is a really simple exercise that you can do at work & it only takes a few minutes!

What you need to do is stand with your feet flat and about 3 feet apart, back straight. Hold a 3-5 pound weight (a small medicine ball or big book would work as well - or anything you have in your office).

With your back straight, twist at the waist from one side to the other slowly. DO NOT twist your hips! This movement should resemble a baseball player batting the ball, except you are not swinging your arms out! Keep your arms straight out in front of you so when you twist your body, your arms are still in front moving with you!

It's very simple to do & 30 rotations 3 times a day will really make a difference. You won't only look better, but you'll feel better. This is especially for ladies & gents who have desk jobs & sit for long periods! You definitely want to get moving because while sitting is good, too much sitting causes poor circulation & even back pain - ask a girl who knows! So besides getting up, stretching & moving around, try this exercise & watch the results!
